Good Friday

Let us all remember what today is all about. That because of Jesus, we all can have eternal life. The love that He has for us is so much stronger than what He had to endure. I am so grateful for the love that He gives.

Happy Birthday Jacob

Well my little boy turned 3 on Sunday. Has it already been three years? Sometimes it doesn't seem like it but other times he seems more like he is four. He is growing up way to fast.

He is so independent, he wants to do everything all by himself. He is so sweet and has a very caring heart. He is my cuddle bug (Hannah has never wanted to cuddle with me). And my favorite thing he does is plays with my hair. He loves to play with my hair :)
He is now potty trained (No more diapers, yeah). He is even good through the night, most of the time. And I took him in for his check up and he now weighs 39 pounds, wow. So that puts him in the 90th percent for his weight, but he is also in the 90th percent for his height. The Dr says he is going to be a football player.

He got a new big boy bike for his birthday, a lightening McQueen one, and by Monday he was riding it like a pro. It didn't take him long at all.

Now he is very excited, because he says "when I am 3 I get to go to cubbies". So now in the fall he gets to go to Awanas just like his big sister.

It was a great party with family and friends. I love you Jacob and am so proud of you.

Dinner with no Kids

Last night we went out to dinner with no kids (what is that like?). We went to a fabulous restaurant in Seattle called O'Asian. Oh, my they have such good food. It makes me hungry again just thinking about it.

I was blessed to have so many of my good friends there with me to celebrate my birthday. (Starting from left to right is Oscar, Becca, Jeff, me, Jenn, Kevin, Cary, and Brian)

And just have some adult time. It was great conversation and wonderful company. I feel so great full that I have such wonderful friends. I love you all. Thanks for making my birthday memorable.

A Simple Wish

On Sunday, we had a girls day out. We (Jenn, Becca, and I) took the girls to a little shop called A Simple Wish (www.asimplewish.org). It is a place to host parties and the girls get to dress up in princess gowns and tiaras, dance around a ballroom and have a tea party. They had a special event going on because it was their 1 year anniversary.

I know the girls had a great time.
And the last Sunday of every month they have a story time. Where one of the princesses comes and tells a story and sings. This month was "Alice in Wonderland".

There were tons of kids there and I am glad we went a little early. It gave us a chance to look at everything and have cupcakes and make bracelets, before the big crowd came.

Every girl needs a little girl time, right?

I got this idea from Tarrah at My Blue Eyed babies, and thought I would ask Hannah and see what she had to say. It was fun. Kids do say the funniest things sometimes.

1. What is something mom always says to you? "I love you very much Hannah" (Thank goodness that is what she said ;)

2. What makes mom happy? "Giving you kisses"

3. What makes mom sad? "When I don't love you"

4. How does your mom make you laugh? "Making funny faces"

5. What was your mom like as a child? "Barbies"

6. How old is your mom? "This many" (She held up 5 fingers) (maybe if I was that many years younger:)

7. How tall is your mom? "A grown up"

8. What is her favorite thing to do? "Cook with me" (Doesn't that sound so sweet?)

9. What does your mom do when you're not around? "Stay home and when it's dark, go to sleep" LOL

10. If your mom becomes famous,what will it be for? "For a talent show" (So I asked what my talent would be and she said "a trombone") Don't know where she got that from, what an imagination.

11. What is your mom really good at? "Cooking.......the best food ever"

12. What is your mom not very good at? "getting a bag ready with snacks" (for when we go somewhere)

13. What does your mom do for her job? "Do some paperwork" (she must be talking about bills)

14. What is your mom's favorite food? "Salmon" (I would have to say, she is pretty accurate)

15. What makes you proud of your mom? "of cooking" (can you tell what I do a lot of?)

16. If your mom were a cartoon character,who would she be? "A doctor" :)

17. What do you and your mom do together? "Go to get pizza" (the simple things in life)

18. How are you and your mom the same? "we wear pants when we go to the store"

19. How are you and your mom different? "I don't know"

20. How do you know your mom loves you? "you hug me and tell me you love me"

21. Where is your mom's favorite place to go? "to Cubbies" (which is Awannas at the church, where her and I go every Thursday)

Happy New Year

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Had some computer issues :)

Anyway, things have been going well. We rang in the new year with a bunch of friends. We had a party at our house and there ended up being close to 30 adults here and 17 kids 5 and younger. It sounds like a ton, and it was, but it was so much fun. The kids were all really good. There was not really any fighting or wining. I think most of the parents were able to enjoy themselves and the kids had a blast.

So the best news, was the Lords faithfulness. We started the new year off with Jeff having a job. YEAH. He has been out of work for a while now and the Lord has been so present and faithful to us during this time. It is amazing to look back on now, but you know what. I can now share my wisdom with others going through the same thing. It is something that I can now use to Glorify God.

So yeah, Jeff is working and it is really a blessing, and I am trying to get used to being home without a car. So please pray for a car for us :)
